The "Free X. Nady" Movement...
Title Track
...has gotten its wish. In a trade I like quite a bit, Nady has been sent to the Mets in exchange for a guy who can really play centerfield, Mike Cameron.
Interesting commentary on the Padres' thus-far interesting offseason can be found at The Baseball Analysts.
Oddly enough, there's no mention of our signing of Geoff Blum there, nor will there be here.

Yep, it's a good trade for both clubs. I'm sorry X never got a shot here but I'm happy to see Cameron coming to SD.
Dammit Marc, I was a stathead before you were born. I just leave the heavy lifting for Richard, since he's half my age, and I'm fat, old, and lazy.
And I read your profile, BTW. 500 CD's ain't nuthin'. Between vinyl and CD's, I have AT LEAST 6,000 albums. Now THAT'S a record collection.
I do enjoy Beyond the Boxscore, though. Keep up the good work.
