That Didn't Go So Well

After tonight's 20-1 drubbing at the hands of the Rockies, a bit of perspective is required.

Granted, this debacle ensures that our Padres will finish with a sub-.500 Pythagorean record. It does little to impact the real-life standings, however.

The standings that determine who keeps playing in October.

Enjoy the team's continued march toward the fourth NL West title in franchise history.

And be thankful that there will be no postseason games at Coors Field.

I like this version of your post better, Lance, thou the differences are subtle!

Well, Howard, it's like this: I wrote the first post and my piece o' crap of a computer crashed during the posting process. Two hours later, it was still not up, so I assumed it had been lost in the crash. So as not to disappoint those of you whose lives revolve around every word I write, I wrote a second, essentially same, entry. Later that day, BOTH posts were on the site. Since you liked the second better, I've deleted the first. I considered deleting both, since neither was worth a damn.
Does that make any sense?
